The Game

Each year FRC teams worldwide build new robots capable of competing in an entirely new competition. This year the competition is called “Breakaway”.

Breakaway is similar to robot soccer. Two alliances of three teams each compete on a field divided into three parts by two 12” high ramps. Robots must score in their own goals located on their side of the field. Robots only have 2 minutes and 15 seconds to do this, but also have the option to grab onto towers located in the middle of the ramps and hoist themselves up for bonus points. Your team also gets bonus points if other robots suspend from your elevated robot at the end of the match.
