A FIRST Robotics Competition team is a great asset to any community. It gives students a positive outlet for their creativity, but it also teaches students valuable skills that they will take with them in college and beyond.
However, there are many costs involved with a robotics team, and sponsors are the COMETS' only source of revenue. They are vital to our organization.

Magna Mirrors designs, engineers, tests, and manufactures interior and exterior automotive parts. On our team, they provide financial and mentor support. The Magna mentors help students through the design process. From concept, to CAD drawing, to prototype, to final product Magna mentors are always there.
Robert Grooters Development Company
Robert Grooters Development Company is the largest privately held developer of industrial and manufacturing buildings in West Michigan. For the 2010 season, they gave the team an office space where we hold meetings and work on our robot.

Cascade Engineering is a multi-business manufacturer and marketer supporting multiple brands. They manufacture for and market to a variety of industries such as automotive, commercial truck & bus, solid waste & recycling, furniture, material handling and renewable energy.

PTC is a major sponsor of FIRST and is dedicated to supporting Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) learning around the world. When they saw how well the COMETS did they helped sponsor our team to the FRC Championship where we won our division.

Atomic Object is the second largest software development company in West Michigan. They have been supporting the FIRST Robotics Competition since 2009, and have increased their support by sponsoring the COMETS.
Celebration Cinema
Celebration Cinema is a chain of movie theaters from Michigan, and are famous for their IMAX movie theater. When they heard about the COMETS attending Nationals in 2010, they decided to become one of our sponsors.

NC Gears - Team 1918
Team 1918, the NC Gears, are based out of Newaygo County. They are one of West Michigan's most respected FRC teams as they are known for being champions both on and off the field. This year is no exception. The Gears won the 2010 Michigan State Championship, and when they saw that the COMETS qualified, let the team ride their bus free of charge. This team is the real deal embracing all values of FIRST.
